Chairman’s Message
We come to this world for a purpose… Yes, we live once and we will die once. That is certain. Of course, it is possible to live life without risk; like many people prefer—living with a fixed income, without making investments. But as a family, we never thought of such a life. We always asked ourselves, “What more can we contribute?” and constantly aimed for investment and value creation.
For us, export has not only been trade, but also one of the most important ways to add value to our country. In recent years, we have focused all our investments on the export system. At the center of this stood mining. Whatever our country’s potential required—iron, copper, chrome, marble—we were there. Even in the toughest times, when prices dropped and crises hit, we did not stop our investments, we did not lose hope.
I am a electrical engineer. But I did not confine my profession only to my diploma. I applied the basic principles of engineering to every aspect of life: being open to innovation, constantly calculating, seeking solutions… Our perspective is that regardless of which field we graduate from, if we truly want to do something, we must have the determination to achieve it.
The success we have achieved today at Miryıldız is not only the success of the management, but of our entire team. The support from the family, and the efforts of everyone in the company—from the highest to the lowest level… From our engineers to our tea makers, from our technicians to our managers, everyone has a share in this story. Our duty is to stand by them, open the way for them, and add strength to their strength.
This success is the success of all of us.
